Jon Schmenk Design, LLC is a golf course design firm located in River Falls, Wisconsin founded in 2013 by Jon Schmenk. JSD specializes in golf course design, land planning, and construction observation services for clients in both the public and private sectors.
Jon began his career in the golf industry working on the maintenance crew at SentryWorld Golf Course in Stevens Point, Wisconsin during his high school and college days. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Landscape Architecture, he worked golf course construction before moving into the golf design field. Jon spent time working for Lohmann Golf Designs outside Chicago and then relocated to River Falls, Wisconsin where he spent 14 years with Gill Design, Inc. In 2013 Jon started Jon Schmenk Design, LLC and has had the opportunity to work for wonderful clients on some spectacular projects. In addition, Jon has had the unique experience working alongside other golf course architects such as Garrett Gill, Jeffrey Brauer, and Kevin Norby; as well as alongside top PGA golf instructor Butch Harmon, and former PGA Tour player Kelly Gibson. Though located in the upper midwest, Jon has continues to work on projects throughout the country.
