Located in the Sandia Mountains outside of Albequerque, Paako Ridge Golf Course is the top ranked golf course in the state of New Mexico and features 27 stunning holes that play along the rugged mountain terrain and over deep arroyos while being nestled within the arid, native landscape.
As lead golf architect and working alongside Kevin Norby and former PGA Tour player Kelly Gibson, we were commissioned to prepare a Master Improvement Plan for the existing facility. Suggested improvements included items such as the renovation of tees and bunkers, regrassing of fairways, rough and greens, repairing cart path, restoring pond banks and updating the irrigation. In addition, a new 9-hole regulation course was laid out along with an 11-hole short course, a putting course and a revisioned practice range.
